General Information
- Number of Beds: 10
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 3 RNs, 1 LNA, and a sitter PRN
- Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, and a sitter PRN
- Patient Ratios: 3-4:1
- Equipment:
- IV Pumps
- Telemetry Monitors
- Hoyer/Stand Lifts
- Bladder Scanner
- Bair Hugger
- Rapid Transfuser
- Chest Tubes
- Vein Finder
- High Flow Nasal Cannula
- BiPAP/CPAP
- Epicardial and Transvenous Pacers
- EMR: Sunrise
- Patient Population: Primarily Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgical patients, with occasional medical progressive care patients.
Qualifications
- Required Skills:
- Telemetry
- Comfort with Chest Tubes
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Cardiac Drips such as Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Levo
- External Pacemaker Experience
- Typical Procedures:
- Pericardiocentesis with drains left in place post-procedure
- Thoracentesis
- Chest Tube Insertion
- Personality Fit: Organized yet adaptable
