We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support a community retail pharmacy under the direction of the pharmacist-in-charge. This role will manage prescription intake and filling, provide prior authorization support, and engage frequently with patients at the counter while maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient pharmacy operations. Spanish-language capability is required.
Responsibilities
- Process prescription intake, filling, reconciliation, data entry, and medication labeling.
- Provide prior authorization support and process insurance claims.
- Assist patients with frequent counter interactions and prescription-related questions.
- Perform medication dispensing and pharmaceutical calculations under pharmacist supervision.
- Manage inventory, including inventory control, daily stocking, and local deliveries.
- Maintain pharmacy compliance and complete pharmacy cleaning duties.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy technician operations.
- Experience with medication dispensing, pharmaceutical calculations, prescription data entry, and inventory control.
- Experience with insurance claims processing.
- Proficiency with PrimeRX (Micromerchant).
- Strong attention to detail, patient communication, and teamwork skills.
- Spanish-language capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
