QuickCare Family medicine is a small business in Hoover, AL. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Offer high quality medical care in an urgent care setting.
Our work environment includes:
Front office 1 person:
insurance verification and collecting copay, deductible and balances on the patients account;
answering phone, managing medical records and faxes;
must be able to speak English and Spanish and work as a team player in a fast paced environment and must have the abilities to multitasking
Nurse/Medical Assistant 2 person:
Must be able to communicate in English and Spanish;
Taking vitals, Injections, do blood draw, and discussing medications;
Must be able to work as a team player and must have the ability to multitask
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits and perform clinical duties, including taking vital signs, and updating patient records
- Assist physicians with patient exams and procedures
- Administer injections, immunizations, and other treatments as directed by physicians
- Answer telephones, schedule appointments, greet patients, and provide general administrative support
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing and order supplies
- Maintain medical records and ensure they are updated in a timely manner
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant, or completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to maintain patient confidentiality
