Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist with duties that facilitate the dispensing of medication in a timely manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Accepts prescriptions presented for the Pharmacist
2. Opens or updates patient medication profiles
3. Prepares receipts for prescription payments
4. Enters prescription information in log book following established guidelines
5. Files all prescriptions using established procedures
6. Maintains patient profile cards according to guidelines
7. Assists in inventory check of incoming supplies
8. Assists in maintaining updated computerized operational information
9. Assists in preparing monthly activity reports
Must be willing to work in our Heflin office.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED required; Pharmacy Technician ceritification preferred.
2. Ability to type 45 wpm
3. Must have interpersonal skills for effective relationships with professionals and patients.
4. Pharmacy experience a plus.
