Overview As a Senior Lead Health Actuarial Consultant, you drive health benefits strategy and financial projections for employer clients. You work within the Actuarial and Financial Consulting team to shape plan designs, renewals, and benchmarking while guiding analysts. You'll be the primary financial contact for clients and help translate data into actionable recommendations. The role blends technical actuarial work with client leadership in a collaborative, technology-enabled environment.

Responsibilities- Lead routine client engagements, overseeing service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, and benchmarking for health and welfare insurance
- Review junior staff data analyses for actuarial accuracy and model integrity
- Perform and review complex analyses and cost projections using Excel, SAS, and related software
- Embrace and promote AI and technology-enabled tools to enhance work
- Draft and review client reports and presentations to summarize findings and recommendations
- Manage day-to-day client interactions, address questions, and mentor junior team members
- Support senior colleagues in business development by identifying growth opportunities and assisting responses to proposals
- Contribute to intellectual capital by expanding knowledge of health insurance actuarial services and products
Key requirements- BA/BS degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, finance, economics, or related field
- 10+ years' actuarial experience with health and benefits consulting
- Progress toward ASA designation
- Client-facing experience
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
