Overview As Project Data Analytics Solutions Manager, you will lead data, reporting, analytics, and automation initiatives for the Project Accounting team, aligning data work with enterprise reporting and data-lake initiatives. You will partner with leadership and users to translate needs into scalable solutions, enhancing access to accurate project financial information. You'll manage dashboards, self-service analytics, and data governance while supporting cross-functional stakeholders. This role offers impact through shaping analytics infrastructure and driving data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities- Lead development and ongoing improvement of dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics for project financial performance, billing, costs, budgets, profitability, WIP, and lifecycle activity (Power BI).
- Serve as primary business partner for data lake and reporting, defining requirements, metrics, data definitions, business rules, and drill-through reporting needs.
- Build and validate data models and reporting controls using enterprise data and SQL-connected sources; manage validations, reconciliations, and exception monitoring.
- Identify root causes of data-quality issues and coordinate sustainable corrections with owners.
- Collaborate with IT, data engineering, finance, operations, and stakeholders to translate needs into sustainable solutions and support enterprise initiatives.
- Plan and execute integration, user acceptance, and scenario testing; manage test scenarios, issue tracking, and readiness.
- Identify automation opportunities using Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Excel, and other approved tools to reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
- Develop training materials and user support for analysts and stakeholders; gather enhancement requests and maintain a roadmap with adoption monitoring.
- Create standardized reporting packages and recurring performance reporting (KPIs, variance, forecasting, trend insights) for leadership.
- Stay current on analytics best practices and recommend practical enhancements to dashboards and processes.
- Support enterprise financial and project-management system implementations.
Key requirements- Significant experience in project accounting, financial operations, or related fields with knowledge of budgets, revenue, costs, profitability, and lifecycle activities.
- Advanced Microsoft Power BI expertise (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, KPI development, dashboard design) and experience with SQL-connected enterprise data.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliations, exception management, and testing (UAT, scenario testing).
- Strong communication, planning, organization, documentation, presentation, and facilitation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders.
- Experience developing training and documentation and driving adoption of new reports or tools.
- Preferred: Power Apps, Power Automate, advanced Excel, VBA; ERP systems like Deltek Vantagepoint; A/E/C industry experience.
