Overview As an Electrical Engineer in the Interconnect team, you design and integrate EWIS for launch vehicles and spacecraft. You'll work in small, collaborative groups across design, manufacturing, and testing, taking ownership of projects from concept to final integration. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flight-ready harnesses and wiring systems, balancing technical merit with risk, cost, and schedule. This role offers hands-on development in a mission-focused, fast-paced aerospace environment with meaningful impact on reliability and cost-per-payload.

Responsibilities- Develop and integrate EWIS designs for launch vehicles and spacecraft
- Apply industry guidelines for wire harness development and design
- Produce schematics, wire diagrams, 3D harness routing, 2D drawings, docs and reports for flight, qualification, and test harnesses
- Coordinate interfaces between engineering, production, and integration
- Make development decisions considering merit, risk, cost, schedule, and quality
- Support design reviews with design, analysis, and test results to prove flight readiness
- Collaborate with engineering and production to generate ideas and continuous improvements
- Tailor aerospace harnessing standards to internal design requirements for cable assemblies and vehicle-level integration
Key requirements- BS in electrical engineering with 1-3 years of related experience
- Experience with test equipment to verify harness design/assembly
- Knowledge of harness design/fabrication/installation standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620, NASA-STD-8739.4, MSFC-SPEC-494)
- Experience selecting connectors, backshells, wires and other harness components
- Understanding of electrical grounding and system-level grounding via harness design
