Overview In this role you will turn hurricane damage assessments into defensible repair estimates for federal facilities in Kauai. You will develop cost estimates amid evolving field data, test quantities and pricing against site conditions, and explain how access, logistics, schedules, and uncertainty affect cost. You'll provide project leaders with a solid basis to compare options, plan procurement, and manage changes as repairs progress. This onsite position supports a mission to deliver resilient infrastructure and safe, lasting outcomes.

Responsibilities- Lead the preparation of conceptual, detailed, and independent cost estimates for facility and infrastructure repairs.
- Develop quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment assumptions, unit pricing, and subcontractor pricing analyses.
- Assess scope, schedule, access, logistics, escalation, and contingency impacts on project cost.
- Review drawings, field reports, repair narratives, and contractor proposals for cost completeness.
- Document estimate bases, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and changes between estimate versions.
- Coordinate with engineers, construction managers, schedulers, and subcontractors to validate scope and pricing.
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of developing construction cost estimates for complex facility or infrastructure projects, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check per company policy.
