Overview In this Payroll Analyst role, you will manage and reconcile U.S. payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while maintaining compliance. You'll work closely with Accounting, People Ops, and Benefits to refine payroll processes in a fast-changing environment. Responsibilities- Manage bi-weekly, quarterly (commissions), and off-cycle payrolls using Workday for U.S. employees
- Own and administer Workday Time Tracking for non-exempt hourly staff to ensure timely timecard submission and approval
- Process leave of absence, fringe benefits (e.g. Carrot and BenePass), equity transactions, and 401K/Roth contributions
- Coordinate with ADP support to ensure accurate garnishments, taxes, and net pay
- Collaborate with People, Finance, and external payroll partners to improve payroll workflows
- Provide excellent employee experience as the first point of contact for U.S. payroll inquiries
- Generate and analyze payroll reports in Workday
- Reconcile month-end U.S. payroll journal entries and assist with balance sheet reconciliations
- Support Senior Payroll Analyst and handle ad-hoc tasks as needed
- Complete ad-hoc duties as assigned
Key requirements- 4+ years of U.S. payroll processing experience for small to midsize organizations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll compliance and Federal/State tax and labor laws
- Solid in-house payroll system experience and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities in a high-growth environment
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) with aptitude for AI-enhanced workflows
