Overview

As Corporate Counsel, you support Axon's global sales and contracts team, structuring and negotiating complex transactions across goods, services, and SaaS. You'll develop scalable contract processes, mentor Contracts Managers, and partner with Sales, Engineering, and Product to manage risk. This role combines legal advisory with process leadership to enable fast growth while upholding regulatory and policy standards. You'll work in a mission-driven environment that values candor, collaboration, and impact.

Responsibilities
  • Support EMEA sales and potentially other regions with transactional matters
  • Structure, review, and negotiate contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions
  • Supervise Contracts Managers and enforce Axon's risk thresholds and knowledge base
  • Lead development and maintenance of contract templates, risk analyses, policies, and procedures
  • Help implement and optimize the contract lifecycle management system
  • Provide regulatory and other legal advisory as needed across operations
  • Collaborate with attorneys, contracts managers, and admin support to grow and mentor the team
  • Travel up to 15%
Key requirements
  • 5+ years of experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts (in-house preferred)
  • Ability to draft and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts (SaaS, hardware, services)
  • Knowledge of UK/EU procurement laws and experience in EMEA
  • Located on the East Coast
  • Experience negotiating framework agreements
  • Ability to act with urgency and mentor others
  • J.D. with bar membership or equivalent authorization (US state bar or UK/EU)
  • Experience with contract lifecycle processes and related tools (CLM, Salesforce, Generative AI, MS Office)
  • Train and mentor others
