Overview In this role you will lead the AP shared services across the hospital network, driving efficiency and financial accuracy. You'll partner with executive leaders, supply chain, IT, and finance to standardize processes and implement automation. You will oversee invoice ingestion, procure-to-pay workflows, and vendor disbursements, while ensuring compliance and strong customer service. The role focuses on reducing manual work, improving visibility, and delivering cost-effective AP operations at scale. This position offers a strategic opportunity to shape enterprise-wide AP practices within a large health system.

Responsibilities- Oversee invoice ingestion and processing across hospital entities
- Manage procure-to-pay workflows and vendor management
- Ensure standardized AP processes, compliance, and financial stewardship
- Drive automation, process improvements, and controls for visibility and accuracy
- Lead SLA performance, productivity KPIs, and day-to-day AP operations
- Resolve payment issues, manage exceptions, and develop AP staff
- Collaborate with executive leadership, supply chain, finance, PrimEra and IT to align with objectives
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with AP-specific experience (>7 years)
- Progressive AP leadership experience (>5 years)
- Experience with ERP systems (Lawson, Oracle) and AP automation tools (Brainware, On-Base, ImageNow, Concur, GHX, Kofax)
- Proven ability to optimize AP processes in a large enterprise
- Strategic planning and execution for a 3-year innovation plan
- Experience leading AP automation projects, including selection and implementation
- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills for training staff
- Change management and cross-functional collaboration across business units
- Ability to analyze complex processes using data-driven insights
