Overview In this Estimator role you will prepare competitive bids for large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects. You will develop detailed estimates across bridges, highways, tunnels and utilities, reporting to the VP of Estimating. You'll read complex contract documents and prepare unit price and lump-sum estimates, collaborating with owners, subs, and internal teams. You'll work within a team to pursue joint ventures and contribute to a growing backlog of marquee infrastructure work. This is a chance to shape major public works for a premier contractor while advancing in a supportive estimating group.

Responsibilities- Prepare competitive bids for large-scale heavy civil projects
- Develop detailed estimates across a range of project types (bridges, highways, tunnels, underground utilities)
- Read and interpret complex contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare unit price and lump-sum estimates including production crews, equipment, and material costing
- Collaborate with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Support joint venture pursuits and teamwork within the estimating group
Key requirements- Bachelor in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of heavy civil estimating experience
- Experience estimating projects valued at $10M+
- Experience with heavy civil general contracting
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex contract documents, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency with HCSS and advanced Excel
- Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders
- Team-oriented and able to work in a collaborative estimating group
