Overview In this role you will design and optimize process equipment and piping for hygienic, code-compliant installations in food, beverage, and chemical environments. You'll create 3D models, develop PFDs and P&IDs with cross-functional teams, and lead commissioning efforts to ensure reliable performance. Your work directly supports safe, manufacturable systems and continuous improvement across projects. This is a hands-on engineering position that blends design, procurement, and startup activities to drive quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities- Create 3D models and fabrication drawings in SolidWorks for process equipment, skids, and piping systems
- Develop and update PFDs and P&IDs with process and instrumentation teams
- Perform piping design including routing, isometrics, support, and stress considerations; material selection and line sizing
- Select and specify process equipment and prepare procurement packages and vendor evaluations
- Lead and support commissioning, FAT/SAT, start-up; troubleshoot mechanical issues for hygienic, clean installations
- Prepare technical documentation, test procedures, inspection plans and as-built drawings; ensure compliance with codes and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to meet milestones and quality targets
- Drive continuous improvement for manufacturability and hygienic cleaning
Key requirements- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years in mechanical/process engineering in Food & Beverage or Chemical sectors
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and detailed drawings
- Experience in piping design, line sizing, supports, isometrics
- Ability to develop and interpret PFDs and P&IDs
- Equipment selection, specification writing and vendor evaluation
- Hands-on commissioning experience (FAT/SAT) and mechanical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with ASME, API, ISO and hygienic design standards
