Overview In this role you will shape Sutter Health's cloud and network architecture, with a focus on Azure core services and secure enterprise networking. You will lead design, engineering, and implementation to consolidate and standardize infrastructure across the health system and affiliates. You'll work across teams to interpret requirements, evaluate new technologies, and set strategic directions for cloud-based solutions. Responsibilities- Deploy, maintain, and review enterprise network architecture on Azure, including Databricks, ACR, APIM, Kubernetes, SQL, and CI/CD via IaC (Bicep, Terraform, ARM Templates)
- Advise strategic direction and provide leadership for design, engineering, and implementation of standardized infrastructure across Sutter Health and affiliates
- Interpret architecture requirements, perform product evaluations, select and integrate new technologies to support organizational needs
- Develop enterprise infrastructure, data management, and application technology strategies, standards, and solution architecture
- Lead cross-team IS projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives
- Communicate architecture concepts clearly to executives and technical audiences, driving consensus and decisions
- Analyze problems and processes to identify improvements and ensure timely delivery
Key requirements- 12 years of recent experience
- Bachelor in Computer Science (or Information Technology)
- Mastery of GitHub Enterprise or Azure DevOps for IaC and deployment automation (preferred)
- Azure architecture, engineering, implementation, and support experience
- Expert level Azure capabilities in Networking (VNet, routing, private link/endpoints, DNS), Kubernetes, and Databricks
- Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, PowerShell/Bash, Bicep, ARM Templates
