Responsibilities- Perform technical review and approval of complex tax returns and examinations
- Serve as subject matter expert in discipline or industry
- Manage large tax returns and delegate to preparers
- Own client service for assigned clients and delegated partners
- Supervise and develop staff through recruitment, training, and evaluations
- Ensure smooth tax return workflow and timely delivery
- Oversee billing and collections processes
- Prepare reports and participate in tax software evaluation
- Contribute to practice development and industry/community activities
Key requirements- Seven to ten years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity
- Two years of experience representing clients before tax authorities
- One year minimum supervising tax preparers
- Bachelor in Accounting; Master in Taxation preferred
- Current CPA license and good standing with AICPA
- Proficiency with tax preparation, research, and planning software
- Ability to work overtime, especially Jan-Apr
