Overview In this role you will lead reconciliation and operational accounting across suspense and cash accounts, ensuring timely, accurate closes and effective risk management. You will oversee the COE team, prioritize work, resolve aging items, and drive process improvements in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. You will support month-end/quarter-end close, audits, ICFR and control activities, and contribute to system and process enhancements. This position blends hands-on accounting leadership with strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, hybrid Newport Beach setting.
Responsibilities- Lead reconciliation and operational accounting across suspense, cash, and transitory accounts for multiple divisions
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the COE team, prioritize work and review aging and outstanding items
- Drive issue resolution, escalation, and ensure controls and SLAs are met
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, Treasury, Tax, EFS, Technology, and divisional stakeholders to address upstream/downstream issues
- Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, audits, ICFR and control activities
- Contribute to process documentation, system/process enhancements, and strategic initiatives
