Sr. HR Manager- Data Center Operations (Onsite - Greater Milwaukee / Mt Pleasant, WI)

Overview

In this role you shape the people strategy for a fast-growing, 24/7 data center campus. You partner with leaders to boost culture, engagement, and workplace experience while navigating complex labor relations. You will advise on organizational change, manage HR services delivery onsite, and influence cross-functional teams to deliver people solutions. The opportunity centers on ensuring a positive, compliant, and high-performing work environment for a technically critical operation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute local people strategies to improve engagement and culture in the data center campus
  • Act as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers, guiding them through policy and process
  • Lead onsite engagement and relationship-building to understand lived experiences and identify risks
  • Champion change management initiatives and partner with leadership to drive site strategy
  • Design manager capability-building efforts and scale best practices across the metro via HR collaborations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and HR service delivery in collaboration with recruiters and CO+I HR partners
  • Participate in crisis management planning and employee well-being programs, including EAPs
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and manage labor relations activities with employee representation
  • Assist with policy updates and local documentation requirements as needed
  • Maintain regular presence onsite to support evening/night shifts and maintain strong relationships
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Legal, Business, Psychology, or related field; 7+ years of HR experience with employment laws and policies
  • 3+ years in large-scale (500+ employees) frontline or operational environments or equivalent
  • 3+ years partnering with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in labor relations, including with unions or employee representative bodies (preferred)
  • Knowledge of US employment and labor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
