Overview In this onsite role, you will educate, coach and develop the next generation of medical laboratory professionals. You work closely with program leadership and clinical staff to deliver engaging, hands-on learning across didactic, laboratory, and clinical phases. You will translate current lab practices into effective teaching, support student success, and help shape graduates ready for clinical careers. Responsibilities- Develop, deliver, and assess educational content for the Medical Laboratory Science program
- Provide classroom, lab, and clinical instruction aligned with standards
- Coach and mentor students, giving constructive feedback and guidance
- Evaluate student performance and tailor strategies to support learning
- Create and update curriculum, materials, activities, and assessments
- Incorporate current lab practices and industry standards into teaching
- Support student development of technical knowledge, critical thinking, professionalism, and confidence
- Maintain documentation of student progress, competencies, and evaluations
- Collaborate with program leadership on curriculum, clinical experiences, and program needs
- Foster a professional, inclusive learning environment and support continuous growth
- Coordinate instructional supplies, equipment, and resources
- Participate in program activities, meetings, and initiatives
- Identify students needing extra support and develop coaching plans
Key requirements- 5 years of clinical laboratory experience required
- ASCP MLS or MT certification required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- Teaching/training/mentoring experience preferred
- Experience in Microbiology and Hematology strongly preferred
