Overview In this role you will provide clinical Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Neuropathology and Autopsy, while leading the Institutional Biorepository and Research Histology service. You will collaborate with the Moody Brain Health Institute and the Mitchell Center to support the Institutional Brain Bank and interdisciplinary neuroscience research. A strong commitment to education involves teaching residents, fellows, and students and presenting scholarly work. You will contribute to departmental and institutional committees and advance research and dissemination at regional and international venues.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical Anatomic Pathology services with emphasis on Neuropathology and Autopsy
- Direct Institutional Biorepository and Research Histology service
- Collaborate with Moody Brain Health Institute and Mitchell Center for neurodegenerative disease research
- Teach and mentor pathology residents, fellows, and medical students
- Participate in intra- and inter-departmental conferences and scholarly activities (research, publications, presentations)
- Engage in departmental and institutional committees and administrative duties
Key requirements- MD or MD, PhD
- Fellowship-trained and board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic and Neuropathology or equivalent experience
