Senior Contracts Administrator Federal Contracts

Overview

In this role you will own a high-visibility contracts function supporting federal engagements. You will manage end-to-end contract lifecycles, work closely with the CFO and Contracts Manager, and serve as the go-to expert for project teams. You will help ensure compliance, funding, and performance across a complex portfolio while shaping contract strategy and risk mitigation. This position offers autonomy, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence how the company delivers for federal clients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer a portfolio of federal contracts and task orders (FFP, Cost Reimbursement, T&M) from award to closeout
  • Set up, modify, and close out contracts and task orders in Deltek Costpoint with audit-ready files and accurate funding records
  • Advise Project Managers and senior leadership on contract requirements, funding status, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation
  • Monitor cost, schedule, scope, and funding performance; identify risks and drive corrective actions
  • Interpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific clauses; draft practical guidance for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Review and negotiate NDAs and other routine contractual instruments in support of proposal efforts
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Subcontracts, and Proposal teams to align billing, reporting, and contract administration activities
Key requirements
  • 6+ years of progressive federal government contracting experience supporting DoD and/or civilian agencies
  • Advanced Deltek Costpoint proficiency - contract setup, modifications, and funding actions
  • Hands-on experience administering complex contract types: FFP, Cost Reimbursement, and T&M across multiple task orders
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR and DFARS; ability to interpret and apply provisions independently
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management, finance, or a related field
