Job Title: Sheet Metal Installer

Position Summary
AIS USA is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Installer to support industrial and semiconductor construction projects in the Phoenix area. This position is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, modification, and repair of sheet metal systems and related components.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of hands-on sheet metal installation experience, preferably in semiconductor, industrial, cleanroom, data center, or other high-tech construction environments. Previous experience working on semiconductor projects such as TSMC or Intel is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, modify, and repair sheet metal components and systems according to project drawings, specifications, and field conditions.
- Install ductwork, exhaust duct, ventilation systems, fittings, supports, hangers, transitions, elbows, and related sheet metal components.
- Perform field measurements and layout work prior to fabrication and installation.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and installation details.
- Measure, cut, bend, shape, drill, fasten, and assemble sheet metal using appropriate hand and power tools.
- Install rectangular and round ductwork and associated fittings and accessories.
- Perform installation work associated with HVAC, exhaust, ventilation, and tool hookup systems as assigned.
- Install hangers, supports, brackets, anchors, and other structural support components.
- Verify elevations, dimensions, alignment, and installation locations before and during installation.
- Coordinate installation activities with foremen, supervisors, other trades, and project teams to avoid conflicts.
- Assist with field modifications and adjustments when site conditions differ from drawings.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper fit, alignment, sealing, and workmanship.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and clean condition.
- Follow all project safety requirements, including PPE, fall protection, ladder/lift safety, LOTO requirements, and cleanroom protocols where applicable.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, installation conflicts, damaged materials, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Follow site access, security, and cleanroom requirements.
- Perform work at elevated locations using ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts when required.
- Perform other construction and installation duties as assigned by the Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of professional sheet metal installation experience.
- Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC, exhaust, ventilation, or mechanical systems.
- Semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial construction, or tool hookup experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working at TSMC, Intel, or similar semiconductor facilities is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal installation methods, materials, fittings, supports, and fastening systems.
- Experience using common sheet metal hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to accurately measure, layout, cut, assemble, and install sheet metal components.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a construction crew.
- Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other trades.
- Must be reliable and able to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor FAB or cleanroom construction experience.
- Tool hookup experience.
- Exhaust system installation experience.
- HVAC duct installation experience.
- Experience with stainless steel or specialty exhaust duct systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Scissor lift and/or boom lift certification.
- Previous experience working under strict semiconductor site safety requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work for extended periods.
- Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts.
- Ability to lift and carry construction materials, tools, and equipment as required for the position.
- Ability to work in cleanroom and active construction environments.
- Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
- Ability to work around construction noise, equipment, and changing site conditions.
Work Environment
This position primarily works at active industrial and semiconductor construction sites. Employees may be required to work inside cleanrooms/FAB areas, mechanical spaces, elevated work areas, and other controlled construction environments.
Work schedules may vary depending on project requirements, and overtime or weekend work may be required based on project needs.
