Overview As Laboratory Associate - Histology, you support the FFPE Biorepository by organizing and quality-controlling tissue samples to empower global research. You will work closely with Pathology and Product Management to ensure accurate sample handling and regulatory compliance, contributing to patient-focused studies. In a fast-paced environment, you apply meticulous organization and technical skills to maintain data integrity and sample traceability. This role offers scope to grow within a collaborative team and help shape high-quality biospecimens for advanced therapies. Responsibilities- Ensure the quality of services, data, and information sent to customers and pathologists
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all processes
- Pseudonymize samples
- Handle samples with high attention to detail
- Create and manage cases and review batches in the image viewing platform
- File inventory samples in alphanumerical order
- Develop, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards within the FFPE Department
- Collaborate with Pathologists, laboratory services, IT, and Project Managers to identify, prevent and resolve problems
- Collaborate with departments, clients, and vendors via email and video meetings professionally
- Edit, create, and manage Excel spreadsheets and generated system reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Key requirements- Bachelor in Life Sciences
- Histology or Pathology background preferred
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with a positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with task prioritization
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
