Overview In this role, you will manage the full lifecycle of complex contracts, leading drafting, redlining, and negotiations with strategic contractors. You will serve as the main liaison with Original Equipment Manufacturers and contractors, aligning contracting strategies with the OFE team and legal. You will oversee change orders, amendments, claims, and contract administration across projects, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and support Venture Global's long-term energy projects, with a focus on reliable, cost-efficient LNG delivery.
Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle contract management for complex agreements, including drafting, redlining, and negotiation.
- Act as primary contact with OEMs and contractors during contract negotiations, amendments, changes, and claims.
- Collaborate with SMEs to define contracting, risk management, controls, and tax strategies for new OFE agreements.
- Coordinate with Legal to determine optimal legal and commercial strategies.
- Manage change orders, including scope, price, schedule, drafting amendments, and CLM entries.
- Support claims related to defects, warranty, and acceptance for OFE projects.
- Draft project notifications and coordinate with technical, commercial, legal, and senior management for signoffs.
- Monitor notices from contractors and coordinate timely responses.
- Enter/update contractual documents in CLM and obtain approvals per DOA with Sourcing/Procurement.
- Advise on contractual questions through analyses and checklists; ensure final acceptance criteria are met.
- Assist in contract closeout with project controls, legal, and OFE team.
- Maintain contract documentation repositories and track progress in designated logs.
- Review insurance proof requests for strategic contracts.
- Attend change order meetings, kickoffs, progress, cost, and quality reviews.
- Support other contract administration tasks as directed by the OFE Contracts leader.
Key requirements- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in contract/subcontract management and negotiation in LNG, power, oil and gas, industrial, or construction industries.
- Knowledge of contract agreements, legal/commercial requirements, invoicing and change orders.
- Strong written and verbal communication across disciplines and with counterparties.
