Overview As Senior Preconstruction Manager at AECOM Hunt, you will lead the preconstruction process to develop accurate budgets, cost strategies, and GMP proposals that meet client goals. You will partner with design, estimation, scheduling, and procurement teams to drive value engineering and cost savings on multimillion-dollar projects. This role combines strategic cost planning with team leadership to shape competitive, reliable pricing from concept to construction documents. You will work with clients, architects, and executives to align on viable, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities- Lead day-to-day preconstruction operations and develop preliminary and GMP estimates
- Analyze schedules, procurement data, and cost analysis to support budget targets
- Drive value engineering and cost-saving opportunities for client presentations
- Manage preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, and procurement teams from concept to construction documents
- Explain strategy and pricing for construction components to deliver competitive bids
- Oversee workload planning and information flow to estimating staff
- Review bids from subcontractors and analyze scopes and costs
- Perform related duties as assigned
Key requirements- BA/BS in Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years of experience in commercial preconstruction or equivalent
- Experience leading preconstruction teams on multimillion-dollar projects
- Scheduling and budgeting experience for construction projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in computer scheduling projects
- Preferred: PE, CMAR experience
- Experience in full-cycle estimating, scheduling, logistics, and client relationships
