Overview In this role you will represent employers in complex employment disputes and advise technology and life sciences clients on employment issues in corporate transactions. You will manage litigation from start to finish and work closely with cross-practice teams to deliver holistic client support. Responsibilities- Represent employers in complex disputes involving trade secrets, non-compete, and employment mobility matters
- Advise tech and life sciences clients on terminations, leaves, RIFs, policy review and creation
- Provide day-to-day counseling on federal, state, and local employment laws to fast-growing companies
- Manage all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution with cross-practice collaboration
- Advise on employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions and corporate transactions
- Conduct internal investigations and guidance on risk management strategies
Key requirements- JD from top-tier law school with excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing
- 2 years of substantive experience in management-side employment law litigation and counseling
- Experience handling disputes involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and employee solicitation
- Background advising on terminations, leaves of absence, internal investigations, reductions in force, and employment policies
- Ability to advise on employment issues in M&A and other corporate transactions
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
