Ophthalmology - Open Rank/Open Track Faculty

In this role you support the Department of Ophthalmology by delivering optical care and supporting faculty teaching and patient care. You will engage in teaching activities, supervise house staff in clinics, and participate in continuing education and regional/national meetings. The position aligns with UTMB Health's mission by advancing ophthalmic care and education. You will work with cross-functional teams to help shape patient outcomes and clinical education in a academic setting.

• Provide optical care to patients
• Support faculty and teaching activities in the department
• Supervise house staff in clinical settings
• Participate in continuing education
• Contribute to local, regional and national meetings and conferences
• Assist in fulfilling teaching and patient care needs aligning with the department's mission

• Graduate of an accredited medical school
• Completed ACGME-approved residency in general optometry
• Certified/Board Eligible in Optometry
• Texas Optometry license without restrictions
