Credit Manager

As Credit Manager, you will lead the Credit and Accounts Receivable function to optimize cash flow and mitigate risk for a $300M+ portfolio. You will guide a high-performing team, establish credit policies, and collaborate with sales, operations, and finance to balance customer relationships with revenue growth. You will oversee lien law compliance and strategic collections initiatives, driving improvements in DSO and portfolio performance. This role offers the opportunity to shape credit strategy in a large, established organization and influence cross-functional outcomes.

• Lead and develop the Credit and Accounts Receivable team with clear performance standards
• Oversee a $300M+ AR portfolio including exposure, aging, delinquency, and risk
• Set customer credit limits, terms, and risk classifications based on financial analysis
• Monitor aging and collections, implementing strategies to improve cash flow
• Ensure compliance with mechanics lien laws, preliminary notices, lien rights, and releases
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and leadership to resolve complex credit matters while preserving relationships
• Evaluate financial statements and credit history to inform credit decisions
• Develop and refine credit policies, controls, and performance metrics
• Manage escalated collections and determine when legal actions are warranted
• Provide reporting and analysis on DSO, aging, collections, bad debt exposure, and portfolio performance
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, technology, and team effectiveness

• Experience managing a large, complex credit portfolio
• Proven track record leading high-performing teams
• Knowledge of mechanics lien laws and related credit protections
• Ability to balance customer relationships with revenue growth, cash flow, and credit risk
• Strong financial statement and credit report analysis
• Experience developing and implementing credit policies and controls
• Ability to manage escalated collections and determine appropriate actions
