Overview In this role you will oversee HR matters for a designated division within Zions, partnering with leadership to boost engagement, productivity and talent retention. You will drive change management and organizational development initiatives to support business goals, and help shape the annual HR strategy and talent plans. You'll counsel leaders and staff, communicate policy changes, and guide performance management to ensure high-quality HR service delivery. Responsibilities- Handle HR matters for a designated division or area
- Improve work relationships, engagement and talent retention
- Facilitate change management and organizational development activities
- Partner with management to deliver HR services/programs
- Support development of annual HR strategic plan, budget and initiatives
- Partner with leaders on Talent Identification & Management strategy
- Counsel and coach leaders and employees
- Communicate HR policy and program changes to managers and staff
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, career development, interventions)
- Support job design, employee relations and timely decisions
Key requirements- Bachelor in Human Resources, Business or related field; 2+ years in employee relations, retention, HR processes, unemployment, workers' compensation, FMLA and related laws
- Experience with organizational development and change projects (preferred)
- Supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of HR practices, laws and applications
- Ability to multi-task across HR disciplines
- Flexible, team-player with adaptability to changing priorities
- Strong presentation, conflict resolution, interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service, influence and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle confidential information; initiative and timely decision-making
- Ability to lead lower-level HR staff and champion HR programs under resistance
