Overview In this role you will lead the firm's tax practice for corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth clients. You will work in a hybrid schedule (office/home) from LA or Woodland Hills, contributing to client service, staff development, and new business growth. You will shape tax strategies, ensure quality and compliance, and help scale the practice through mentoring and collaboration with other partners. Responsibilities- Deliver full range of accounting, auditing, tax, and advisory services to designated clients
- Review and sign off on tax returns
- Develop and mentor tax staff; participate in staff recruitment and performance reviews
- Lead staff training programs and administer personnel functions related to tax staff
- Drive new business through existing clients and new prospects; maintain relationships with bankers, attorneys, and other professionals
- Develop and implement annual training programs for staff at various levels
- Monitor and refine quality control processes; update documentation
- Participate in practice development and firm governance committees
- Ensure efficient operations and regulatory compliance in tax and accounting functions
Key requirements- 10-15 years of public accounting experience with progression in complexity and engagements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or Master's in accounting) with CPA license
- Ability to generate new business and manage client relationships
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
