Overview In this role you will support the Consumer Financial Services practice, handling disputes around defaulted commercial loans. You will work with clients and supervising attorneys to shape strategy, litigate, and seek resolution across matters in a hybrid remote model from upstate New York, the Hudson Valley, or Suffolk County. You'll engage with high-responsibility cases within a growth-minded team, contributing to meaningful credit and bankruptcy-related outcomes. Responsibilities- Analyze loan-level documentation and draft pleadings
- Draft dispositive motions and workout resolution agreements
- Handle court appearances and argue motions
- Litigate and resolve disputes involving defaulted commercial loans
- Partner with clients and supervising attorneys to develop strategy and case plan
- Contribute to the growth and effectiveness of the practice team
Key requirements- Admitted to the NY Bar in good standing (NJ/PA bars in good standing are a plus)
- Experience in financial services and contested foreclosure litigation
- Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy matters is preferred
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience analyzing loan documentation, drafting pleadings, motions, and workout agreements
