Overview In this role you will provide technical leadership for sustaining engineering across Eaton's hazardous and industrial electrical product portfolio. You'll own lifecycle management, ensuring safety, compliance, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness while aligning with customer and business needs. You will develop and maintain engineering documentation, lead investigations and cost-reduction initiatives, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Responsibilities- Own product lifecycle management for electrical products (hazardous/industrial)
- Develop and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, ECOs, and work instructions
- Lead complex investigations, cost reduction, supplier transitions, and product enhancements
- Ensure regulatory compliance, quality improvements, and alignment with manufacturing methods
- Perform root cause analysis and propose effective, manufacturable solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to balance technical, commercial, and operational objectives
- Provide technical reports and communicate engineering findings to stakeholders
- Support design to cost and efficiency initiatives across products
Key requirements- Bachelor in unknown
- Minimum of five (5) years of product engineering experience
- Ability to work onsite in Syracuse, NY; relocation not provided
- No immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT/STEM OPT support
- Proficiency with CAD and documentation (BOMs, ECOs) preferred
