Overview In this role you will bridge design, manufacturing, and test for flight vehicles, embedding with design and production teams to deliver hardware from concept to flight-readiness. You will own tooling, testing, and vehicle assembly, driving rapid prototyping to production. The position emphasizes reducing process complexity while building scalable build and test workflows. You will influence cross-functional teams and contribute to high-speed aerospace initiatives that support mission-critical defense capabilities.

Responsibilities- Lead detailed project planning and ensure hardware delivery within aggressive timelines
- Translate high-level design concepts into detailed designs including geometry, materials, and DFM
- Drive the transition from prototype to production for complex aerospace assemblies
- Simplify processes by removing waste and reducing parts complexity
- Design and implement full-stack build processes - factory layout, tooling, test flow, and vehicle integration
- Develop and execute test procedures for flight hardware
- Act as a force multiplier across production, test, and design teams
Key requirements- Strong engineering first principles
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, manufacturing, or related engineering field
- Hands-on experience with physical hardware (internships, labs, project teams)
- Proven ability to design, build, break, and iterate quickly
- Comfort with CAD, test equipment, hand tools
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, welding, forming, etc.) and GD&T fundamentals
- Leadership experience on project teams or in mentorship roles
