Overview

As a Mid Level Civil Engineer at Carollo Engineers, you will work on municipal water and wastewater projects including treatment plant expansions, regional studies, and water reuse initiatives. You will contribute to design, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and field inspections, collaborating across water infrastructure teams to deliver sustainable solutions. The role supports a collaborative, inclusive culture within a leading environmental engineering firm focused on best-in-class water consulting. Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering work on water and wastewater infrastructure including pipelines, pump stations, and construction management
  • Develop designs, prepare reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates; manage permitting and alternative analyses
  • Verify conformity with plans through field inspections and testing
  • Assist with preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis; participate in site investigations and pilot testing
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
  • 6-12 years of experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Experience with water and wastewater facilities, wastewater collection, water transmission/distribution, reclaimed water master plans, pipeline rehabilitation, pump stations, and reservoirs
  • Design and construction phase experience on small to large infrastructure projects
  • Broad knowledge of civil engineering precedents and related specialties
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Experience with Microstation or AutoCAD
