Overview

In this role, you lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept to startup within Colliers' Arizona team. You will guide an engineering group, deliver constructible designs, and manage client relationships across municipalities, utilities, and developers. You'll tackle complex hydraulic and planning studies while mentoring junior engineers and shaping project outcomes. This is a leadership opportunity to drive critical public and private infrastructure for fast-growing Arizona communities. You'll work across Phoenix, Gilbert/Chandler, or Goodyear/Tolleson with potential flexible remote arrangements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead water/wastewater projects from concept through design, construction, and startup
  • Oversee engineering team in producing construction documents for pump stations, storage facilities, treatment facilities, wells, lift stations, and mains
  • Manage quality, schedules, budgets, and plan production oversight
  • Prepare construction documents, basis of design reports, and technical specifications
  • Create planning and engineering documents including hydraulic models and system studies
  • Coordinate with team, utilities, municipalities, consultants, and clients
  • Handle project billing, proposals, and client satisfaction
  • Provide construction-phase support: submittals, RFIs, engineer-of-record services, startup and commissioning
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 8+ years of relevant experience including project management
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in AZ or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and hydraulic principles
  • Experience in water distribution and wastewater facilities planning and design
  • Proficiency in MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD
