Overview In this role you lead the Supplier Quality Engineering team to ensure purchased hardware, materials, and services meet stringent quality, reliability, and regulatory standards. You collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and customers to address quality issues and drive improvements. You will oversee failure investigations, CAPA, and risk mitigation, while shaping testing, inspection, and qualification processes. This position supports Lockheed Martin Space's mission to enable secure, innovative, and reliable space capabilities.

Responsibilities- Lead a team of supplier quality engineers and own overall supplier quality performance
- Ensure purchased hardware and services meet quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation across the supply chain
- Perform technical evaluations of requirements, specifications, and drawings
- Lead product failure investigations and CAPA decisions
- Develop strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity
- Evaluate quality systems and identify deficiencies for correction
- Design/analyze inspection and testing processes and conduct statistical analyses
- Engage in supplier selection and maintain certification programs
- Collaborate across program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers on quality issues
Key requirements- 8-12 years of progressive supplier quality experience
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Experience in supply chain
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for supplier site visits and audits
- Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field
