Overview In this role you will design and develop electronic systems for BETA's electric aircraft and supporting systems. You will work within an integrated team to certify electronic components and advance flight-control, motor-control, and battery-management electronics. You will tackle EMI/EMC, power budgets, thermal analyses, and prototype testing to enable reliable electric flight. This position offers hands-on prototyping, cross-functional collaboration, and a path to impact sustainable aviation.

Responsibilities- Design and develop electronics for electric aviation
- Capture schematics to support circuit functions
- Design EMI/EMC filters to meet DO-160G
- Analyze electronic hardware including input power and input signal filters
- Design digital circuits using ICs, ADCs, microprocessors, buffers, memory, and serial transceivers (CAN, RS422, ARINC-429)
- Design and test inverter motor control circuits
- Analyze analog signal conditioning with LTSpice
- Compute power budgets and perform thermal analyses
- Use lab test equipment for probing and troubleshooting
- Build and test prototype hardware
- Develop electronic test fixtures and write hardware test procedures
- Review PCB layouts and coordinate with contract manufacturers
- Research electronic parts and work with sourcing
Key requirements- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in electronics design and schematic capture using Altium or equivalent
