In this role you will serve as the technical EHS authority for a semiconductor manufacturing site, driving risk-based decisions and compliance across engineering, facilities, and construction. You will partner with site leaders to identify emerging EHS risks, challenge unsafe practices, and implement measurable corrective actions. You will lead investigations, ensure tool and construction safety oversight, and sustain ISO/OSHA compliance while turning data into preventive action. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape safety culture at a high-hazard facility and support scalable, standards-based risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Act as technical EHS authority and risk owner for semiconductor manufacturing, facilities, and construction activities
  • Partner with engineering, facilities, and operations leadership on a weekly cadence to identify EHS risks, challenge unsafe designs or practices, and set measurable corrective actions linked to site KPIs
  • Lead complex incident investigations, near-miss reviews, and significant non-conformances using data-driven methodologies
  • Oversee EHS aspects of semiconductor tool installation, modification, qualification, and decommissioning, applying SEMI S2 requirements and aligning with OSHA 1910/1926; integrate engineering controls
  • Lead construction safety, contractor oversight, and risk management for energy control, confined space, hot work, and chemical/gas systems
  • Maintain audit-ready compliance for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OSHA management systems
  • Direct regulatory compliance assurance processes and elevate system performance beyond basic checklists
  • Analyze EHS data to identify systemic risk and drive preventive actions
  • Lead cross-functional teams in engineering-based and behavioral risk reduction with accountable corrective actions
  • Prepare and defend technically accurate EHS reports and permit documentation; represent site during regulatory inspections
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Applied Science
  • 6+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments or high-hazard facilities
  • Hands-on knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Structured, data-supported problem solving
  • Ability to influence engineering and operations leaders without positional authority
  • Experience making risk-based decisions and defending them with data and technical rationale
  • Limited travel as required
  • independence
  • data-driven mindset
  • leadership without authority
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1926
