Overview

As Product Manager for Energy & Critical Resources, you own the strategy for Avathon's Physical AI products across oil & gas, power, renewables, and mining. You will shape capabilities like agentic AI, digital twins, and predictive analytics to transform how critical infrastructure operates. You'll collaborate with AI scientists, engineers, and frontline teams to translate real-world constraints into scalable products with measurable impact. This role offers a strategic, hands-on opportunity to advance industrial autonomy and energy transition at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Define next-generation products applying AI, operational intelligence, optimization, and autonomous decision-making to complex physical operations from concept to launch and scale
  • Identify and prioritize high-value opportunities across asset reliability, predictive maintenance, production optimization, field operations, and grid/energy management
  • Collaborate with Applied Science, Product, and Forward-Deployed Engineering to turn AI models, digital twins, and computer vision into repeatable industrial products
  • Define how Avathon's computational knowledge graph connects assets, processes, people, and data to enable AI-based decision-making across operations
  • Engage with energy producers, miners, utilities, and frontline teams to validate concepts and identify transformative opportunities
  • Translate operational challenges into product capabilities, workflows, requirements, KPIs, and measurable outcomes (availability, throughput, downtime, safety)
  • Partner with Product Engineering, AI Research, Forward-Deployed Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to move concepts to production and scale solutions
  • Stay ahead of Physical AI, industrial autonomy, energy transition, and mining tech to identify new markets and differentiators
  • Measure success through adoption, operational impact, AI performance, repeatability, and commercial scalability, using live deployment insights
Key requirements
  • MBA from a top-tier university
  • 4+ years in product management, management consulting, energy, mining, industrial tech, or related field
  • Strong understanding of energy, mining, metals, or other critical resource sectors
  • Experience defining and deploying AI, ML, optimization, or advanced analytics products preferred
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into clear product requirements
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience working with enterprise customers and senior business stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of industrial and B2B operating environments preferred
