Overview

As Senior Environmental Project Manager, you lead complex environmental projects for oil, gas, and industrial clients, from planning through execution. You drive strategic project leadership, manage risk and finance, and cultivate long-term client relationships through consistent, high-quality outcomes. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant, and sustainable solutions at scale. This role offers the chance to influence major infrastructure and energy projects within a global, collaborative firm.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver revenues from specific clients through repeat business via flawless project execution
  • Maintain planned profit margins and avoid write-downs or multiplier erosion
  • Lead projects involving risk-triggering factors and manage risk mitigation
  • Direct staff and project managers across multiple projects or programs
  • Oversee client relationships, risk assessment, and claims mitigation
  • Ensure project planning and execution align with scope, schedule, budget, and quality
  • Mentor project managers and manage contracts and financial performance
  • Provide strategic project leadership and foster long-term client partnerships
Key requirements
  • Bachelor (BA/BS) and 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Successful completion of client-required drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle records check
  • Preferred: 10+ years in environmental consulting for oil & gas, refining, industrial, or energy sectors
  • Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary environmental projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality responsibilities
  • Strong client relationship management and track record of securing repeat business
  • Experience leading project teams and managing project risk, contracts, and financial performance
  • Professional certification or registration preferred (e.g., PG, PE, CHMM, PMP)
