Overseas Supply Chain Quality Manager - Cabin

Overview

In this role you drive on-time delivery and quality for cabin equipment by managing supplier performance and risk across US and Europe. You will work closely with MFT leaders, Programs and FALs to secure supplier capability, monitor KPIs, and lead corrective actions. The position blends hands-on supplier engagement with strategic oversight to protect Airbus operations. You join a highly collaborative team focused on robust supply chains and continuous improvement in cabin equipment.

Responsibilities
  • On-site collaboration with supplier sites or Airbus offices at least 3 days/week to ensure manufacturing and supply chain maturity
  • Improve supply chain performance and prevent failures through quality practices
  • Assess supplier capacity and capability for ramp-ups and industrial objectives
  • Monitor performance via KPIs and manage supplier audits, assessments, and improvement plans
  • Lead recovery actions with suppliers to restore delivery performance to Airbus requirements
  • Ensure preventive/corrective actions are effectively implemented and tracked
  • Prepare and support management reviews with suppliers to discuss delivery and supply chain performance
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships (MFT leaders, Programs, FALs) and drive improvements
  • Complete required trainings and support special projects/stretch assignments
  • Mentor new hires and support colleagues as needed
Key requirements
  • Minimum 6-8 years in procurement operations or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Engineering or similar; Master's preferred
  • Aerospace industry and/or manufacturing experience preferred
  • English fluent (reading, speaking, writing) and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (domestic and international)
  • Knowledge of supply chain and quality processes; problem solving and auditing capabilities
  • Strong communication and relationship-building
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Team player with customer-oriented mindset
  • Knowledge of Quality Core Tools and QMS
  • Practical problem-solving and risk management
  • Familiarity with auditing/assessing processes
