Food Quality Specialist (Food Manufacturing)

Full-Time Monday Friday 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Up to $28.00 per hour, with higher compensation available for highly qualified candidates.
A growing international food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Food Quality Specialist to join its Quality Assurance team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in the food and/or beverage manufacturing industry who is passionate about food safety, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Support daily Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities
Investigate product quality issues and customer complaints
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Coordinate supplier documentation and product specifications
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits
Maintain third-party certifications (Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, Gluten-Free, etc.)
Develop and maintain quality procedures and documentation
Coordinate laboratory testing and finished product sampling
Communicate with internal departments and the quality team in Japan
Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the QA department
Qualifications
2+ years of Quality Assurance experience within the food and/or beverage manufacturing industry
Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field preferred
Experience with food safety, quality systems, audits, or regulatory compliance
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Valid California Driver's License
Japanese language ability is a plus, but not required
