Overview

In this role you will drive AI-enabled legal project management to boost matter efficiency and financial performance. You will work closely with attorneys and business teams to standardize practices and leverage technology. You'll manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting to support client outcomes and firm leadership decisions. This role combines finance, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable value across matters. You will contribute to a forward-looking, tech-enabled culture that emphasizes service quality and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance legal project management, decision-making, and matter outcomes
  • Develop and manage matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for client use; prepare financial reports and updates
  • Monitor budget-to-actuals, WIP, realization, fees, collections, and variances; advise on corrective actions
  • Partner with attorneys to manage scope, staffing, financial risks, and client expectations throughout matters
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Finance, Billing, and other business services to support budgeting and reporting
  • Drive adoption of consistent LPM practices, reporting tools, and matter management processes; support financial system enhancements
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; JD or MBA strongly preferred
  • Five+ years in legal project management, legal finance, pricing, or law firm financial operations
  • Experience developing matter budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and law firm financial systems (Aderant or Elite)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI; data analysis, modeling, and visualization
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and relationship-management skills
