Project Manager - Data Center Construction

Overview

As a Project Manager, you will lead large-scale construction initiatives, coordinating architects, engineers and suppliers to deliver compliant projects. You will track milestones, governance and cost to prevent delays and ensure design standards are applied. You'll produce status reports, manage interfaces with suppliers, and provide technical guidance on cost control and constructability. This role offers exposure to high-impact projects with cross-functional teamwork and strategic influence.

Responsibilities
  • Manage stakeholders including architects, engineers and supply chains to deliver compliant projects
  • Analyze, track and manage critical milestone activities to avoid schedule slips
  • Verify effective project governance, processes and systems are utilized
  • Ensure application of best practice on all projects
  • Produce formal project status reports and other required reports
  • Monitor progress of multiple construction projects to ensure design standards are applied
  • Manage interface between all suppliers through trackers and reviews
  • Manage flow of project information via meetings and written communications
  • Forecast and update key project milestones and budget
  • Manage and monitor local design teams in accordance with commission criteria
  • Provide technical support to owners, architects, general contractors and regional stakeholders
  • Respond rapidly to RFIs from the field
  • Provide expertise for cost control, value engineering, and constructability guidance
  • Independent review of status reports, drawing submittals, timelines and costs
  • Client management and development of relationships to maximize opportunities
  • Strategic thinking to advise project teams on approaches to meet objectives
  • Knowledge management to capture learnings from each project
  • Process improvement of internal systems and processes
  • SOX control responsibilities may apply
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Procore, and construction project management tools
