Plant Continuous Improvement Leader

Overview

In this role you drive plant performance by leading the DuPont OpEx system at the Valley View site. You collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to close gaps in SQDIP, margin, and operational maturity through Daily Management, problem solving, Kaizen, and value stream improvements. You act as the local OpEx change agent, coaching colleagues and connecting site priorities to the broader CI network and Industry 4.0 opportunities. This position offers hands-on execution, capability building, and measurable benefits validation.

Responsibilities
  • Identify performance gaps and priorities aligned with SQDIP, margin, EBITDA, and maturity; build and execute the plant OpEx roadmap
  • Deploy and sustain the DuPont OpEx framework with playbooks, roles, and routines
  • Coach leaders and teams on Daily Visual Management, accountability, Leader Standard Work, action tracking, and escalation
  • Lead Kaizen events, value stream improvements, and waste elimination; maintain Kaizen funnel and sustainment processes
  • Coach projects from problem definition through implementation and financial validation using Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and data-based problem solving
  • Lead or support PMO activities including opportunity pipeline, cadence, milestone tracking, and benefit validation
  • Build site capability through coaching, OpEx Academy, and hands-on application of tools like 5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen; share lessons across CI network
Key requirements
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, operations, or Operational Excellence
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Lean Practitioner / Continuous Improvement certification preferred
  • Green Belt certification preferred
  • Ability to coach, teach, mentor, and facilitate practical learning
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Daily Management, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, and structured problem solving
  • Manufacturing site leadership
  • Experience with project benefits tracking and digital/Industry 4.0 improvement approaches
