Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Quality Control Inspector role based in Dayton, OH. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting metal fabricated parts and assemblies using measuring tools, gauges, and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications. Daily tasks include reviewing production drawings, documenting inspection results, identifying nonconforming materials, and working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues. The role involves maintaining inspection records, supporting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions to improve processes. The Quality Control Inspector also helps ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Follow all Quality procedures and inspection requirements.
Maintain professional behavior, attendance, communication, and responsiveness.
Represent the company positively and support operational excellence.
Properly tag components and materials in accordance with customer inspection processes.
Report any quality issues, abnormalities, or concerns immediately to Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality inspection, quality methods, inspection principles, or manufacturing environments is a plus.
Strong Quality Control and Inspection skills, including use of vernier and dial-based measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and reading technical drawings.
Experience with Quality Assurance and Quality Management practices, such as documenting findings and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
Effective Communication skills for collaborating with production teams, supervisors, and customers on quality-related issues.
Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Ability to stand, walk, and handle materials in a shop environment, following all safety procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or quality is a plus.
