Overview As a Senior Civil/Highway Engineer at Parsons, you will lead design efforts for street, highway, interchange, and rail-related infrastructure projects in NYC. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop studies, designs, and construction documents that meet client standards. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with coordination of CAD designers and subcontractors to deliver high-quality solutions. This position offers growth within a critical infrastructure team and exposure to marquee city projects.

Responsibilities- Lead roadway/highway design and related transportation engineering tasks
- Independently develop or supervise civil/highway design plans, profiles, and details using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D
- Prepare and supervise technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents
- Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required
- Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in NY
- 5+ years' experience in roadway/highway design
- 2+ years' experience with NYCDDC/NYCDOT/NYCDEP roadway/highway design
- Familiarity with NYCDDC, NYCDOT, NYCDEP standards and design requirements
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microstation, Civil 3D
