Overview In this role, you drive contract administration, safety, and project performance on a medium-sized building project within our employee-owned culture. Responsibilities- Provide contract administration, technical guidance, and support for a medium-sized project
- Develop and implement the project safety plan and lead health and safety practices
- Ensure construction aligns with design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule
- Offer value engineering proposals addressing functionality, cost, and schedule
- Manage project performance and provide status reports for safety, cost, and schedule
- Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments; monitor progress and schedule
- Enforce contract documents and manage project closeout
- Identify and manage risks and opportunities on construction projects
- For design-build projects: monitor design progress, ensure compliance, quality, coordination, and timely deliverables
- Coordinate design-management and conduct periodic quality audits; manage stakeholder communications
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or related field
- 8-10 years of progressive construction experience with leadership and mentoring preferred
- Strong safety culture knowledge and implementation experience
- Deep knowledge of construction materials, methods, codes, and quality management
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills for budgets and schedules
- Ability to identify and manage project risks and opportunities
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management/scheduling software
