Principal Electrical Engineer

In this Principal Electrical Engineer role, you will lead the electrical design of municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities, guiding project delivery and technical strategy. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and multidisciplinary teams, shaping solutions for treatment plants and pump stations. You will mentor engineers, advance Arcadis' water business, and influence project scope, risk, and quality. • Lead planning, design, and delivery of electrical systems for water/wastewater facilities (treatment plants, pump stations)
• Serve as a technical leader and client advisor on complex electrical projects
• Develop and review deliverables (power distribution, one-line diagrams, control schematics, equipment specs, construction docs)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to manage scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk
• Provide construction support: site investigations, submittal reviews, RFIs
• Mentor staff, support client development, and contribute to strategic growth of the Water business
• Travel up to 25% to support projects and clients

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
• 15 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in municipal/industrial water/wastewater facilities
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong knowledge of NEC; experience with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, SKM Power Tools
• Experience with short-circuit and coordination studies, arc flash analysis, photometric studies
