Overview In this Senior Title Analyst role, you support DOJ-related takings cases by performing in-depth title research, organizing property records, and potentially testifying as an expert witness. You'll work within a litigation-support context to guide case strategy and produce precise legal research and documentation. You will lead a small team, review others' work, and collaborate with attorneys to advance high-stakes property-related matters. Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive title and deed research
- Testify as an expert witness on factual research
- Generate work product from locating, retrieving, reviewing, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing property records
- Perform complex legal research for litigation
- Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda
- Review documents for relevance and privilege; assist attorneys with litigation strategy
- Serve as a team lead, reviewing and editing work from Title Analysts and Paralegals
- May testify at deposition or trial in support of factual research
Key requirements- Law degree
- Property law experience
- 5+ years of experience with real estate and property tax records
- Experience as a Title Examiner or similar in real estate, mortgage, or tax settings
- 3+ years of experience on litigation support projects with client-facing communication skills
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and tools (Lexis, Westlaw)
