Overview

As an HR Business Partner, you collaborate with leaders to align people initiatives with business goals. You will shape employee experience, coach managers on relations and performance, and drive talent programs across the organization. You'll handle compensation guidance, headcount planning, and compliance to support scalable, people-centric processes. This role sits in a values-driven People team and offers opportunities to influence culture, mobility, and cross-functional collaboration. You will help PitchBook attract and retain talent in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop HR strategies with leaders to support business goals
  • Coach managers on employee relations and act as primary contact for resolutions
  • Implement and improve cyclical talent programs (Quarterly Conversations, Talent Reviews, etc.)
  • Plan and execute the performance management process
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on headcount, job descriptions, leveling, and compensation accuracy
  • Provide compensation guidance to align with strategy, performance, and internal equity
  • Diagnose engagement or performance issues and implement solutions
  • Conduct investigations and determine appropriate actions
  • Serve as liaison between leaders and HR Operations for employee lifecycle updates
  • Support mobility and visa processes for domestic and international transfers
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, SOX) across states
  • Model company values and participate in company initiatives
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience supporting 500+ employees
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of US employment law and state variations; international law a plus (UK, Singapore)
  • Strong HR processes, benefits administration, data analysis, compliance, tools, and communications
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Workday experience a plus
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
